Where do your products ship from?

Our propulsion testing products ship from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. WindShapers ship from Geneva, Switzerland.

How long does shipping take?

Our thrust stands are generally in stock and ready to ship in 1 business day.

The lead time for WindShapers varies, as most models are made to order. Smaller models tend to ship in a matter of days whereas larger models may take several months to custom manufacture. Our sales team will confirm these details with you when preparing your quote.

What is your warranty policy?

Tyto Robotics products come with a 1-year limited warranty. Extended warranty and MRO packages are available upon request. See our complete Terms of Service for full details and conditions.

How often should I recalibrate my thrust stand?

We recommend having your force measurement unit recalibrated once per year. Fill out our support form to schedule your recalibration.

What propeller sizes can your thrust stands test?

Tyto Robotics thrust stands can be used to test propellers ranging from 2 in (5 cm) to over 80 in (2 m) in diameter. Due to the numerous factors affecting performance, our thrust stands are categorized by maximum thrust rating, ranging from 5 - 500 kgf. Contact our sales team to find out which thrust stand is best for your propellers.

Where are your products made?

Tyto Robotics products are made in Canada.

What is included with the thrust stands?

Motors, propellers and ESCs are not included and must be sourced by the customer.

How are motors mounted to the thrust stands?

Our thrust stands come with a motor mounting plate. Screws are passed through the plate and into the holes on your motor, then the plate is then mounted on the thrust stand.

Can your thrust stands be used in water?

Our thrust stands are not designed for use in water.

Software

Is software included with the thrust stands?

Our Flight Stand software is included free with all thrust stand purchases. Advanced software features like the Dynamic Balancing feature require an additional license. Contact our sales team for more information.

What are the system requirements for the software?

Operating system: Windows 10 (Version 2004+) or Windows 11; Storage: NVMe or PCIe SSD; CPU: 8+ cores.

What is the sampling rate of the software?

The Flight Stand software records data at a default frequency of 100 Hz for Standard equipment and 1,000 Hz for Pro equipment. While the sampling rate cannot be adjusted prior to tests, users can export the data at a custom, lower sampling rate after the test is completed.

Can Flight Stands be controlled wirelessly?
